Melodical gets off the mark at Kempton

Three-year-old Melodical broke her maiden when winning the Unibet New Var Goal Guarantee Handicap at Kempton.

A daughter of Sergei Prokofiev out of Ebb (Acclamation), Melodical settled towards the rear of the field in the hands of Ashley Lewis. Despite being short of room in the home straight, she battled on strongly and made progressive headway to beat the favourite by a neck.
