One runner at Meydan tonight

We are having a fairly quite week on the runners front and just have the one this evening at Meydan, Dubai.

Assimilation lines up tonight for his owners Mr Berkeley Greenwood, Mrs Juliet Cestar & Mr Colin Dale. He has been training very well since his Dubai debut 2 weeks ago and I’m very much expecting to see an improved effort this evening. Most horses get better with experience of dirt racing and I see no reason why Assimilation should be any different. I suppose there is a small chance that he might have taken a serious disliking to the kick-back in his face last time, in which case he may decide he doesn’t fancy it again, but given that he is such a genuine and tough horse I am expecting him to make a big step forward this evening. I think the key is that Antonio gets him out of the stalls and in to a more positive position than last time, so hopefully he will jump sharper and in to his stride quicker.

As you can see from the picture, he looks incredibly well and is obviously enjoying the sunshine.
