Double for Sioux Nation sons Meticulously and Kicking Bear

Meticulously and Kicking Bear broke their maidens at the second time of asking when winning at Salisbury and Newmarket respectively. Two-year-old sons of Sioux Nation, both colts made all to win impressively.

A flashy chestnut, Meticulously broke well from the gates and travelled strongly at the head of the field in the hands of jockey George Downing. Out of an Elusive Quality mare Braided, he powered clear of the field within the final furlong of this seven furlong race to win by two and a quarter lengths, cementing himself as an exciting prospect for owner TBT Racing.

Going one better than his only previous run, Kicking Bear opened his account when landing the Class 2 Bet MGM Maiden Stakes at Newmarket's Rowley Mile. Taking a keen hold in the hands of jockey Robert Havlin, Kicking Bear set the temp in this seven furlong race. Chased down by the 5/8 Favourite within the final furlong, he was always doing enough to maintain his advantage and win by half a length. Congratulations to his owners Woodhurst Ltd and Withersnea.

Congratulations to all connections and the team at home. Pictured below is Kicking Bear.
