All-weather double for Laughterintherain and Norman Invasion

Norman Invasion and Laughterintherain broke their maidens when winning at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.

Laughterintherain got off the mark when winning over a mile at Lingfield. Owned by P Afia, Laughterintherain broke well under Tom Marquand to dispute the early lead with the 11/8 favourite. Pressed 2f out, the three-year old daughter of Too Darn Hot, out of a Giant's Causeway mare, battled strongly up the straight and found more to win by a length.

In the colours of TBT Racing, Norman Invasion quickly landed a double for the team when winning a Maiden Handicap at Wolverhampton. A son of Lope de Vega out of Smoulder (Redoute's Choice), Norman Invasion took a keen hold to lead the 6 runner field through the first three-quarters of a mile of this 1m 142y race. Challenged for the lead approaching the final bend, the three-year old gelding was given a patient ride by apprentice jockey Ashely Lewis to join the leaders in the home straight and win comfortably.

Congratulations to all connections. Pictured below is Norman Invasion.
